Dandenong Softball Association will host a new era of state championship softball when the U16 Boys & Girls Zone teams collide over two Sundays on February 23 and March 1.

Starting this Sunday the event marks the official debut of the new regional zone format, which is taking effect at the 2020 U16 and U18 state championships.

Eastside Spectres, Northern Stars, South East Stingers and Western Force, all feature associations that have aligned to form their respective zone teams, and plenty will be at stake with the four zones contending to secure their inaugural state championship.

While state titles are on the line this time around, a large number of state team players will take to the diamond at Dandenong, presenting a great opportunity for Victoria’s brightest junior athletes to showcase their skills in new zone colours.

With action getting underway this Sunday Feb 23, both boys’ and girls’ grand finals will be broadcast live on Softball Victoria’s Facebook page on the event’s second Sunday of March 1.
